Plans for the Future

Going forward, we intend to explore new business opportunities, strategic partnerships and investments; and organically grow our four businesses as outlined:

• Lagoi Bay Development Infrastructure:
  • Lagoi Bay development is a 1,300 hectare, newly master planned development within Bintan Resorts which offers some excellent opportunities for developers targeting the more discerning, beach resorts and holiday homes market.
    A few new resorts are now in various stages of construction and these include the very eco-friendly villas project by Alila Villas Resorts, a condotel by Swiss- Belhotel and a super luxury resort- The Sanchaya. Also under development is the 146 villa Pantai Indah project . This project undertaken by Gallant Ventures Ltd offers choice holiday homes on or near the beach with sizes ranging from 4-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms and one bedroom villas all with a swimming pool. Recreational facilities that will come on-stream soon include an Ultra-light aircraft flight centre, shopping mall, forest canopy trail and a Motor-rally and Go-Kart Adventure Park.
• Power Plant Development:
  • Construction of a 150MW coal fired power plant to support the developments in Batam and Bintan. This project is undertaken by Batamindo.
• Industrial Park:
  
  • Reclamation of land for industrial, commercial development in Bintan. Total land to be reclaimed is estimated at 2000 hectare.
• Airport Infrastructure:
  • Construction of an international airport in Bintan. The airport will provide easier access for private jets and charter flights from places such as China, India and Australia- all growing markets for Bintan Resorts. Situated next to Bintan Industrial Estate which is also owned and operated by the Group, the airport is expected to make this estate more attractive for investors to base their factory operations here, allowing faster shipment of raw materials from sources and quicker access for finished products to intended markets.
• Education and Training Campus:
  
  • Since the inception of various businesses in Batam & Bintan island, the Group have regularly participated in community development projects in area such as education, religion and health fields. Our participation in various community development programs received positive response from the society at large.
    Forming an integral part of the Group’s business strategy, the Group will construct a new education and training campus in Indonesia to enhance the social and environment standards in the local communities. .
